AJ is a friendly, caring and gentle clinician. He did his two year post-graduate implant training at one of the most prestigious universities and only uses very well researched and well respected implant systems, enabling him to offer a guarantee on his work. As well as treating his own patients, AJ has seen and treated numerous patients who have experienced complications from other clinicians over the years. Cost-cutting when choosing Dental Implants is likely to be a false economy because we expect our implants to last a very long time, possibly even a lifetime. AJ will make sure that your Dental Implant experience is a positive one. Simply call to make an appointment.

It’s normal to carefully consider the cost of any purchase. Dental Implants are an investment, and can significantly improve your quality of life, health, confidence, and appearance. At Implants by AJ we will only prescribe treatment that is necessary and will provide you with various suitable options, enabling you to make an informed choice that is right for you. We all love a great deal, but at Implants by AJ we regularly redo cases from other clinicians that have failed due to poor planning, lack of skill in carrying out the procedure, or use of suboptimal materials. In choosing Implants by AJ, you can be assured of receiving good value for money, first time.

This is probably the second most common question people have when thinking about having an implant. The vast majority of implants are placed under a normal dental local anaesthetic. You may feel some pressing, pushing and some vibration during the drilling phase, but the Dental Implant procedure will not be painful in any way. AJ will regularly check to make sure that you are completely numb and comfortable throughout the treatment. When implants are placed by an experienced clinician, the surgical part of the procedure is quite straightforward and takes only about fifteen minutes to complete. Keep in mind that more complex cases will naturally take longer, and we will advise you if this is the case.

At Implants by AJ we offer an Immediate Implant service for many of our patients. During this treatment we can remove teeth and immediately place Dental Implants. We can even provide you with temporary teeth on or over implants whilst they integrate fully and while our laboratory is busy making your final, permanent crown. In some cases, it may be necessary to wait for healing after tooth removal before an implant can be placed – the main factor being whether there is any infection. If the case of an infection, we need to wait twelve weeks for healing before we can place the implants. But don’t worry! We won’t leave you with a gap if you don’t want one. We have a number of temporary solutions available to make sure you have a smile on your face throughout the implant process.

In most cases, we can complete an implant and final crown from start to finish in as little as 4 months. Sometimes treatment can take longer depending on the complexity of your case. Your specific timeframe will be determined at your initial assessment with AJ.

Our signature service, Teeth in a Day, can have you enjoying a full set of implants in just a few hours.

As with any surgical procedure there is a small risk of complication, and implants are no exception. When a Dental Implant is placed, bone needs to grow onto, and integrate with, the titanium. This is known as ‘osseointegration’. It’s this integration process that makes an implant strong enough to support a crown. In the unlikely event that an implant placed by AJ doesn’t integrate, we’ll replace the implant completely free of charge, or offer a full refund should you prefer. Most patients opt to try again, and failure to integrate the second implant is very rare.
